The Perseid Meteor Shower is occurring now (lasting through the weekend). Because of the Aquarius Full Moon, bringing it’s lunar light to our night skies, the meteor viewing won’t be too great . . . but that doesn’t mean they are not there, impacting us in unseen and perhaps mystical ways. {Read more here}.
Years ago I noticed that mini flashes of insight and unusual, unexpected things can occur during meteor showers. It’s as though in the midst of some form of confusion or turmoil, a light from afar arrives just when needed the most to illuminate our path.
For the next few days, our benevolent Universe may bring you such gifts or show you openings to new paths that were unseen before. . . this may come when you least expect it.
Notice if you:
- Get an inspired idea.
- Come up with an innovative solution to a problem.
- Feel compelled to move in some new direction.
- Feel an surge of life in or around you.
- Read a quote that moves you.
- Find new signs of hope in unusual places.
- Have a vivid dream (day or night) with important information for you.
- Receive an unexpected gift, blessing or answer to a prayer.
One thing though, such things will likely come out of the clear blue and appear before you for only a brief while. Grab them! Write these down! If they don’t seem significant now, they may at some point in the future.
I like to think that these are messages from an ancient Star that traveled all this way to arrive when needed most. Maybe I even sent it myself. Maybe you did, too.

August 9th, 2011  Every so often there is a combo of astrological events that creates so much tension it affects many areas of life and lots of people. We are under one of these now. Can you feel it? It feels as though a spark could ignite a blaze in an instant and things could escalate on a dime.
Riots in London, economic melt downs right and left and today was the most powerful Sun flare in years (an X-7) to add yet more intensity to the air.
That Cardinal Cross is back!
So what is happening? Basically Pluto in Capricorn, Mars in Cancer, Uranus in Aries and Saturn in Libra are forming a Cardinal cross. Yes…it is indeed back (this was very potent during the Summer of 2010). AND right now, and for the next 24 hours, the Moon is also in Capricorn, adding a strong emotional element to the mix.
These combined impact the most fundamental areas of our life. Work, finances, relationships and home. Our sense of security and trust in the future is challenged as many strive to find answers to the challenges they face.

But Wait ~ There’s More!
Further, Mercury is Retrograde while opposing Neptune. This can confuse things, making it extra difficult to gain clarity and direction. Are we hearing the whole truth, you may be wondering under this influence as deception and the “spin doctors” are most prevalent now. BE SURE to check and re-check your plans and arrangements now!

August 5th, 2011  “GEOMAGNETIC STORM IN PROGRESS: A major geomagnetic storm is in progress following the impact of a CME on August 5th. Sky watchers at all latitudes should be alert for auroras after nightfall.” [From spaceweather.com:]
Many of you may have felt a build up of energies all week long. As indeed, the Sun is most active right now and has been emitting CMEs (coronal mass ejections). This activates or releases a lot of energy into the ethers, as well as the physical, realms, which many can feel at several levels.
You may be noticing: a sense of urgency, extra sensitive or more energized, or seeing energy on the inner or in your peripheral vision, or receiving information as flashes of insight and there may be other unusual or interesting sensations. (Feel free to share yours!). Also, be on the lookout for auroras if you are in the northern countries.
Consciously opening to this increased presence of the Sun in our atmosphere can raise your frequency.

July 25th, 2011  Mercury is about to turn retrograde which always seems to strike a cord of “OMG—here we go” from many people. The actual retrograde period will begin August 2 and go until the 26th. But we are already feeling the effects.

This Is Not A “Normal” Mercury Retrograde
While every Mercury retrograde has some similarities, each one has it’s own flavor, as well. And this one has some very interesting flavors going on.
Let’s recap what we can expect from Mercury Retrograde
We have come to know that when Mercury is retrograde it is likely we will experience issues and challenges with communications (verbal, written, electronic, etc.), misunderstandings seem to occur more often, mix-ups happen with arrangements and plans, computers and related devices act up, etc. (You can learn more about what to expect during Mercury retrograde on my talk, available here.)
But this one has an added element that makes it the most unusual Mercury retrograde I can remember.
From July 28th to August 7th, Mercury will be in Virgo opposing Neptune in Pisces.
To understand this unusual aspect, let’s look at what each of them are separately.
Mercury in Virgo loves order, is efficient, thinks in a linear fashion, works off a list and pays great attention to detail. We could say it counts the trees while not even noticing it is in a beautiful forest.
Neptune reveals to us the vision for our life. It rules our dreams, imagination, what inspires us and what we hope for. It opens us to the inner and higher realms, showing us that there is more, far more, to life that what we generally perceive with our lower, rational minds.
Neptune in Pisces sees things holistically and does not see boundaries around anything. (The song Imagine has a most Neptunean message and in fact, imagination is ruled by Neptune.)

July 25th, 2011 Mercury is about to go retrograde and here is one person’s account of the last time it did so. It is such a great post I just had to make sure it got front billing.
 “I’m a firm believer in this whole Mercury Retrograde thing and have noticed its effects (but on other people!). Do you think it’s possible that this works in reverse for some people? Last MR we had (March to April) I had a wonderful time and everything literally just fell into my lap. I just had to think about something and it was there. I didn’t notice time was going verrrry sloooowwwwly some days and people around me were having problems with mail, meeting plans, etc, but for me it was a wonderful time!! July 10th, 2011 Mercury goes retrograde 3 times each year for 21 days. And when it does, many have come to recognize its signature effects.
Communications go awry, misunderstandings are more frequent, making decisions is tricky at best and electronic devices seem to go haywire, to name a few.
Mercury is the planet that has rulership over all forms of communication–verbal and written, personal and professional, even agreements and contracts. And so yes, when it goes retrograde these areas of our life can get disrupted and go tilt.
The reason I am writing about this now, three weeks prior to the event, is because this is a very potent retrograde, perhaps the most I have ever seen, and I’ve seen many. The reason is because Mercury is stationing at o degrees of Virgo while opposing Neptune at 0 degrees of Pisces. How interesting that the planet the rules logic will be so strongly impacted by the planet (Neptune) that rules all things vague and difficult to pin down.
This will create even more chaos and confusion than usual. (I discuss this in greater detail on my talk: Mercury Retrograde in 2011 ~ What To Expect and How To Make The Most Out Of It). This added dynamic will be an interesting one, no doubt about it. Yet while it will very likely wreck havoc with things requiring logic and reason, it may well be a boon to those things of a more spiritual nature. It’s all in how we approach it.

June 14th, 2011 The Gemini-Sagittarius Full Moon is a time to enjoy lively conversations and to consider new ideas that are a result of them. This Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse encourages you to seek out new and interesting information and knowledge. Ask the Universe for pertinent and helpful insights now and see what comes along in the next few weeks. You may get just the guidance you need through some form of communication or conversation. Seek out ways to better understand the underling reasons and dynamics of any given situation, as this Full Moon increases your capacity to be open-minded.
Be on the lookout for new options and opportunities during the next two weeks. Be open to something new you hadn’t seen before.
Overall, this is a wonderful chance to see aspects of yourself or your life from new perspectives that will help you as time goes by. Be sure to write down any significant insights or tidbits of information, as it may become most important as time goes by!

May 17th, 2011 transfiguration [noun]–a complete change of form or appearance into a more beautiful or spiritual state

 So many people are in the midst of some form of radical life changes. Shifts in life directions, plans changing at the drop of a hat (that would be me), sudden departures from a previous course and others are so common place these days! As well as being most disruptive, they almost always result in a radical shift in how we see our self.
If a fundamental area of your life is undergoing significant breakdowns, revisions or reorganizations, then this will surely reverberate throughout your being and you will naturally begin to see yourself differently as old patterns and ways that generated a particular identity break apart. As this happens, it is easy to loose your “markers” or bearings and you may feel lost, confused and perhaps chaotic. This makes it very difficult to come up with a life plan, to know where you are going and even at times, who you are becoming!
I’m a Star Trek fan and tonight I watched a really fascinating episode called “Transfigurations.” In the  story, a humanoid was found injured on a planet. As he recovers on board the Enterprise, he soon realizes that he doesn’t remember who he is. Also, it becomes clear that something extraordinary is going on with “John Doe.” A Light force is emerging from within him! Further, he can heal others with the touch of his hands. Yet, he still does not know who he is or where he came from or where he is going.

May 13th, 2011  Nicholas Roerich, Song of Shambhala (1943) The Full Moon in Scorpio is on Tuesday the 17th (*times in various zones below) and is also called the Wesak Moon, the Full Moon of the Buddha. A time, it is said, that the Hierarchy who oversees the planet’s evolutionary and spiritual path descends from Shamballa to grace and offer guidance to humanity with Light.
When we are able to feel or sense that we are indeed being watched over and guided as we walk our Path to a greater recognition of who we truly are, it can radically alter our lives. As we see and feel these subtle yet pervasive connections we begin to see that we are not separate or alone, that there is infinite abundance, that the Universe~Spirit~God’s substance is Love and it’s expression is transmitted through Light. Opportunities for feeling this connection in energetic ways and on the inner realms is heightened now. You need not be particularly knowledgeable in any specific practice or way, but rather to be open and willing to receive. This openness to receive this Universal Grace will shift how you see and know yourself.
