Uranus Station ~ Lunar Eclipse: Messages in the Chaos?

Uranus is stationing direct now at 0°38′ Aries. During the days (and even weeks) surrounding this event the energy will be interesting, dynamic and maybe even feel somewhat strange. While Uranus does station direct once every year, doing so at the first degree of Aries is a once in a lifetime event (less, actually). This is a powerful indication that new beginnings are at hand and that change is in the air.

The impact of this event is made all the more potent by the Lunar Eclipse that is also occurring this weekend. Insights and messages offering guidance are present everywhere–keep on the look out for them! New directions, understandings and pathways are now ready to reveal themselves.

Here are some things you may notice:

Your basic energy may be erratic, fluctuating from one extreme to another for the next few weeks.
Feeling either wired and hyper or the other end of the spectrum as though you are stuck and going nowhere. Both are possible.
You could feel nervous, anxious or edgy, jumping when the phone rings.
Feeling impatient, as though things just can’t happen fast enough.
You may have sudden bursts of energy, either physical or mental.
You may feel scattered and ungrounded, finding it hard to focus.
Some may feel quite psychic and intuitive as Uranus can increase these frequencies.
Difficulty sleeping or relaxing as your mind is very active may occur.

The higher frequencies will express in these ways, which you may also notice:

Openings to higher truths, bringing clarity and revealing new avenues and directions.
Clever, even brilliant, ideas and inspired thoughts can come out of nowhere and from unusual and unexpected sources.
Solutions that you had not thought of before can appear during this time.
Take special note of those that are original and fresh, things you have never seen or thought of before.
All this can bring you greater clarity and fresh, new perspectives.

Keep in mind that events may occur during this time that may make no sense now or that may seem insignificant. Yet something may happen now that will play a key role in your life down the road. Hence, anything that seems a bit odd or unusual, or beyond “coincidence” or if you get an interesting idea in a flash of insight or perhaps in a dream, make a note of it! You may want to refer to it later.

Intense Energies A Foot

Every so often there is a combo of astrological events that creates so much tension it affects many areas of life and lots of people. We are under one of these now. Can you feel it? It feels as though a spark could ignite a blaze in an instant and things could escalate on a dime.

Riots in London, economic melt downs right and left and today was the most powerful Sun flare in years (an X-7) to add yet more intensity to the air.

That Cardinal Cross is back!

So what is happening? Basically Pluto in Capricorn, Mars in Cancer, Uranus in Aries and Saturn in Libra are forming a Cardinal cross. Yes…it is indeed back (this was very potent during the Summer of 2010). AND right now, and for the next 24 hours, the Moon is also in Capricorn, adding a strong emotional element to the mix.

These combined impact the most fundamental areas of our life. Work, finances, relationships and home. Our sense of security and trust in the future is challenged as many strive to find answers to the challenges they face.

But Wait ~ There’s More!

Further, Mercury is Retrograde while opposing Neptune. This can confuse things, making it extra difficult to gain clarity and direction. Are we hearing the whole truth, you may be wondering under this influence as deception and the “spin doctors” are most prevalent now. BE SURE to check and re-check your plans and arrangements now!

And then there’s the Full Moon, too!

Saturday (8/13) is the Full Moon which also creates a build up of energies. This Full Moon is in Aquarius, which creates a feeling that what is happening “in the World” is impacting you personally. The events that are occurring on a global level are of a far-reaching magnitude and this is quite apparent now. Even though things are happening externally that impact you and that seem outside your control, how your respond is up to you. This is a key to moving through these times with Grace.

What to Expect ~ What to Do ~ Where’s the Hope?

What to Expect and might be feeling:

A sense of urgency. The energy feels odd at times and erratic.
Tense and irritable.
Anxious, worried, fearful or helpless to effect change in your life.
Off center or ungrounded.
Angry or frustrated.

What you can do:

Slow down. Especially if you are about to react to something.
Do things that keep you grounded: walk, do yoga, hug a tree!
Don’t add too much to your plate and simplify where you can.
Use common sense. Elaborate schemes are not likely to work so well these days.
Don’t hurry around. Deep breaths.
Don’t try to figure everything out at once. Answers will come when they are meant to.
Remember that you are doing the best you can.
Acknowledge that yes, change is in the air. But it may be exactly what is needed now. Trust.
Ask your Guides to raise your frequency so that you may rise above the turmoil and fear.
Ask your Guardian Angels to keep your protected from negativity, fear and panic that is in the collective. These do NOT have to be in your space.
Help others by being available, kind and tolerant.

Where’s the Hope:

These are challenging and trying times. Be honest with yourself about this. Yet it is by Cosmic design and you signed up to be here now. Get in touch with the part of you that consented to this and you will find the strength and courage you seek.
Know that you have all the resources and help available to you that you need.
There is assistance and hope to be found. Keep looking.
You are a powerful being with unique gifts ready to come forth and be shared.
The Light is all around you, in you and available to you.

Transfigurations

So many people are in the midst of some form of radical life changes. Shifts in life directions, plans changing at the drop of a hat (that would be me), sudden departures from a previous course and others are so common place these days! As well as being most disruptive, they almost always result in a radical shift in how we see our self.

If a fundamental area of your life is undergoing significant breakdowns, revisions or reorganizations, then this will surely reverberate throughout your being and you will naturally begin to see yourself differently as old patterns and ways that generated a particular identity break apart. As this happens, it is easy to loose your “markers” or bearings and you may feel lost, confused and perhaps chaotic. This makes it very difficult to come up with a life plan, to know where you are going and even at times, who you are becoming!

I’m a Star Trek fan and tonight I watched a really fascinating episode called “Transfigurations.” In the story, a humanoid was found injured on a planet. As he recovers on board the Enterprise, he soon realizes that he doesn’t remember who he is. Also, it becomes clear that something extraordinary is going on with “John Doe.” A Light force is emerging from within him! Further, he can heal others with the touch of his hands. Yet, he still does not know who he is or where he came from or where he is going.

I couldn’t help but see parallels to not only what I am experiencing but also to what I hear from clients and friends. Comments such as “I am not sure what is happening to me (he wasn’t either) . . . I don’t know where I’m going or even where I am from. Yet I can sense a change occurring deep within.”

Perhaps you can relate?

Upon reflection, I realized that while in the midst of a significant period of change, that perhaps we, too, are undergoing a “transfiguration.” Could it be best if we don’t really know exactly who we are or where are going? That maybe this actually facilitates the process as our personal agendas and plans are trumped and overridden by the deep and profound changes occurring deep within?

Uranus rules the unpredictable events that take place in our life and ever since it entered Aries on March 11th, it seems that it has rather enjoyed making a mockery of our plans. I realized that this is perfect, actually…that Uranus is just like this. It upsets the apple cart and throws out our agendas as it ushers in the unexpected. This planet that rules radical change, now in Aries, the sign that rules who we think we are (i.e.: self or ego) is bound to upset our sense of personal identity, as well.

In order to truly change, we must change how we see and know ourselves. Perhaps a Transfiguration is at hand?

Planetary Agendas
All the planets have a higher agenda and for Uranus it is this: for us to feel more alive and more present to the life within and around us.

And its process or methodology for doing this is to break down old forms and patterns that keep us stuck and experiencing our life in the same (old) ways. And specific to now, with it in Aries, it is breaking down our identities.

I pose a question to you: Is your life going through some form of radical change and/or “breaking down” in some way because “things are crazy all over” or because your own identity has been changing and now your life just can’t be lived as it has in the past.

Here’s a key: sometimes we are changing from deep within, but don’t recognize it as such, yet as a result, our outer life is going through some form of radical shift(s).

What changed first? Your inner self or your outer life? It is likely that you have been going through a rather long, slow transformation and it is now time for your outer world to reflect this. The truth is that it can’t help but be a reflection of your inner self, as we do create our own reality from deep within.

At the end of the Star Trek, our hero becomes pure light and returns to his home planet to help others of his species in their own metaphoric journey. It all worked out perfectly.

There was something else that really struck me about Mr. Doe: in all that he went through he had no need to know who or where he was. He just allowed the process to unfold. He sensed that the Light growing stronger within was a natural part of the transfiguration taking place, and so he accepted it with peace and grace.

Ah—to be so trusting and open to our own journey. To let go and trust that all the turmoil and not knowing is just a part of the process of transformation. And to accept that the disruptions—both within and without—that Uranus is bringing into our lives are indeed perfect, and in fact are an integral part of this process as well.

2011~A New Cycle Begins

Many have an awareness that the times in which we live are different and somehow significant, even special and unique. Great emphasis has been placed on 2012, for one, but whether you place much credence in that or not, there are many other indicators that this is a turning point for humanity. Certainly it is true economically, politically, culturally and in regards to our institutions of education, government and religion.

Trying to make any sense of it and then to try to figure out “what to do about it” can be quite bewildering and even overwhelming.

Two Critical Questions
If you are on a path of consciousness or a Spiritual path of some kind, then you may be asking yourself two very important questions these days:

From a practical viewpoint you wonder how you are to thrive, or just survive, in the times we live. This may be financially, regarding your job or work situation or personal relationships and/or family life.

From a spiritual viewpoint you may ask something along the lines of: Why am I here now? What is my part to play at this critical juncture? How can I be of service?

And very importantly, how do these two dynamics intersect in my life? Where do they merge?

One of the key shifts available in 2011 is this: to get the order of these two right. Meaning, to see that in order to thrive in a practical sense, you have to make it your priority to better understand the relationship between your spiritual path and your life path.

In fact, the merging of these two is where the alchemy occurs and magic happens.

Where To Start?
A good place to start is this:

1. Recognize that you do have a part to play at this critical time on planet Earth, and then claim it.

2. To do this you must raise your vibration, up your game, step up to the plate and own your significance.

You signed up to being here now. And you consented to doing something, to being a vehicle for a higher purpose in some way or another.

Does it need to be grandiose and involve a huge effort? Not necessarily. What it needs to be is authentically yours. For doing so is what will give you every tool, every resource and all the support you need to carry out your Soul Purpose, or what I often call “Your Task”.

Keep in mind that your task may not be an “out in the world thing” and could be more of an inner experience. Opening to the Light on the inner brings Light to all that are near and can have a significant impact in raising the vibration on the planet.

And this is the year, I feel, many will experience a shift from seeking or trying to do this to actually manifesting it. But again, getting clear about the order of this is a must.

The Astrological Cycles at Play
One of the great gifts of Astrology is that we can see the bigger cycles at play. And this year, a new cycle is about to begin.

Uranus

For seven years, Uranus has been in the sign of Pisces. All astrological influences have an agenda and Uranus in Pisces, during this last seven years, was clear: open a channel from our higher mind to our lower mind. This was so we increased our capacity to grasp new knowledge and insights.

The impact of this influence has, over time, opened our minds and hearts to new wisdom and understandings. Most of you have also likely experienced an increase in your own intuition and inner knowing during these years. Hopefully you have also come to trust it more, even rely on it.

During these 7 years, many changed how they saw things and this could have created a kind of chaos as the old way of perceiving didn’t seem to fit aspects of the new insights and higher knowledge now available. The old patterns stubbornly held their position in our psyche, often resisting this new information. But over time, and with the help of other astrological influences during this past few years, the beliefs and ways of perceiving your life have likely changed.

The old patterns and precepts served their purpose and now don’t seem to fit. This can be uncomfortable as going back isn’t even possible anymore. This may be to a career path, how we support ourselves or relationships to our family, friends or partners. It can feel as though the path has actually dissolved when we look back.

I have heard many say such things . . . that significant aspects of their life now seem “old, out dated and just no longer an option.” Yet it would seem that a kind of limbo set in for many in 2010, because the “next steps” or new path were not really all that clear. Or perhaps it was clear but just not happening for one reason or another.

On To 2011 and The New Cycle
Yes, I feel we are entering a New Cycle. The planetary energies, patterns and shifts point in this direction.

Yet to the degree that we are in sync with the energies, is the degree we will be able to truly avail ourselves to the magic pulsing through them.

In other words, to embrace this New Cycle, we must align ourselves through exerting our personal will, in a conscious way that embraces and stabilizes the natural rhythms of life, as these are the “carriers” of the current of the creative/creator, or the Pulse of Life itself.

There are lots of ways to get in sync with this natural flow of life, and some are quite simple to do, such as:

Breathing exercises.
Through movement: such as dancing, walking, yoga, tai chi, etc.
Normalizing your daily patterns, such as eating and sleeping

What is most important is to be consistent. This is what will increase your capacity to be able to bring this Universal Energy into your life.

Yet if you are out of sync in other, fundamental ways, these may not be enough.

Another, effective way is this: to align your life, at least to some degree, to the cycles of the Heavens, using Astrology as your map to do so. I simply know of no other body of knowledge that better shows us how to get in sync with the natural order of things than Astrology.

This is what Astro Currents Monthly, my new offering, is all about: finding out how to use the natural cycles of life to your advantage by being aware of the planetary influences, the lunation cycle, the retrograde periods and more. This will increase your energy and empower you to act in ways that are in accord with the Universal energy.

Think of Astrology as being a language—the Language of the Stars. The planets could be considered portals of energy from a higher realm. Astrology can show us how to align yourself with these energies, this “Breath of Creation”.

In our current culture, it almost goes without saying that we are out of alignment with the natural flow of life. Can you see how when you are out of alignment your life can seem chaotic or unfullfiling? When you go against the grain you set up circumstances in your life that make it difficult to manifest?

The Life Pulse is strong in 2011 and so you want to be in that flow. This is how you will be able to sustain the energy needed for, and in, this new cycle.

Even doing so in some way will help tremendously.

Key Events In 2011
Next, I want to address the keys that I see as most significant to the New Cycle we are entering, particularly in the first half of the year:

The Uranus-Jupiter conjunction in Pisces in the first week of the year.
Jupiter entering Aries the 3rd week of January.
Uranus entering Aries mid-March for 7 years.
Neptune entering Pisces briefly for the first time in over 140 years.

1. Right out the door~Jupiter is conjunct Uranus!

When I look over the year ahead certain days or series of days will jump out at me as being of particular significance. This year, it is interesting because one of the most potent one is this week, January 4th, and the few days surrounding it.

The 3rd of three meetings of Jupiter-Uranus is happening this week (there were two last summer). This time it is occurring at the end of Pisces, which are the final degrees of the Zodiac. The influence of the conjunction of Jupiter & Uranus this week will last another 2-3 weeks.

These are powerful planets and their combined energies set the tone for the year for all of us. (Also on the 4th is the first New Moon of the year, which also happens to be a Solar Eclipse! This adds yet more potency to this week, and says that the seeds and thoughts we plant now are especially important to our entire year ahead.)

As we enter this year, it would be good to reflect not only on the past year, but the last several years. For they are the foundation to better understanding what this year is about, and what it isn’t about.

A major theme is to seek freedom from limiting beliefs and patterns, to forgive others and yourself and to let go of whatever holds you back. During this time, if you have done the “work”, such as reflection and being willing to be responsible for your part, “just letting go” is absolutely possible during this time! This alone will open the space within for what comes in the new cycle.

Say Good-bye Old Programming!
We all have programs that run someplace in the background of our unconscious that sets our limits and says “yes” or “no” (mostly “no”). And of course some of those are necessary and just common sense. Yet others are based on old precepts of what we are capable of, what we think our best is, what we think we deserve or are able to do.

And yet, to grow, to become more of who we are and to accomplish what you set out to do this lifetime we must at times reach far beyond our “no’s”. I know we have all heard some version of this . . . yet we still find it hard to actually manifest the desired expansion in our lives.

One reason may be that we haven’t opened aspects of our own being to accept this expansion and so we fit our dreams into the old form, or formula. And then wonder why they don’t manifest. What can you conceive of? What do you think is truly possible?

The Jupiter-Uranus conjunction is a most expansive influence, happening now, right in the first few weeks of the New Year, inviting us to open to the part of yourself that can increase your consciousness, your capacity to accept your own higher self and your greatness.

Now is the perfect time to broaden your current perception of the reality of your life and then to see new possibilities. “What we can’t conceive of we can’t create.”

This energy is blowing the top off our own limitations, opening us to a new capacity to see what we are capable of!

There are keys to turning this lock open. First it is no mistake, I feel, that you are reading this. I say take that as a sign in and of itself that you are open and ready for this year to be a dynamic one for you. Believe that it is time, that you have all the resources and support you need to take whatever is your task to a higher level.

Take the next 2-3 weeks to focus on the inner. Surrender to your path, even if you aren’t exactly certain as to what that is. This, in itself, is an act of trust and faith in you believing that you have a purpose. Allow not knowing as to what is coming in. Most importantly, acknowledge that the past is no longer an option.

This can wake us up to what is possible. You may well sense that something is stirring and indeed it is. There may even be a feeling that your life is about to take off. Trust and nurture that!

The emphasis is now on taking part in your own life in a more dynamic and proactive way.

2. Jupiter in Aries ~ Activator of Enthusiasm

On January 22nd, Jupiter enters Aries until June 4th. Jupiter goes through each sign every 12 years and while in Aries can spark enthusiasm and bring some form of excitement into our lives. How amazing that it is happening now, in the first few months of this most amazing year.

Here are some keywords for while Jupiter is in Aries: Being bold and having courage to be who you are; be pioneering and entrepreneurial as it encourages new beginnings.

Qualities to focus on while Jupiter is in Aries: Optimism, inspiration, faith. Being open to change that brings more joy to your life. Doing things that are being true to yourself and increase your confidence.

Questions to ask during this time: Where am I ready to change and grow? Am I open to see what is truly possible? Am I willing to expand even if it means real change? If I were feeling bold and confident, what might I do? Do I wait for others to act before I take action?

What to watch out for during this time: While Jupiter is in Aries is great for expanding in many ways, yet you do need to be careful to not take on too much, too fast. Excesses of any kind are possible and need to be avoided.

This heralds a dynamic time, one that will usher in many changes, some you may have been working towards for some time.

3. Uranus in Aries ~ Enter the Spark

Uranus in Pisces has done a lot to lay a new foundation for spirit to enter our lives, for Light to enter our being. Yet it has been primarily on the inner and hasn’t really been conducive to outer manifestation. If we try to take action on something prior to it’s time, before the inner landscape hasn’t been laid, it is very possible that it will not sustain in physical form. So timing is everything.

Uranus is entering Aries on March 11 until May 15, 2015 and will act as a spark and catalyst. We can lay the logs on the fire but without the match it will not provide us with heat. And once Uranus is in Aries there will be many sparks to keep the fire going, through enthusiasm and renewed optimism.

Further, the channels that were forged in the last seven years are now ready to receive Light in a more dynamic way. We can more easily see how the insights that came through in that time now directly apply to our life.

Keywords for Uranus is in Aries: Expect unusual, unpredictable events that change how you view things. There is an acceleration of energies and a feeling that everything is happening very fast.

Qualities to focus on during this time: Being open to change that will bring you more aliveness and vitality. This is a primary element of all this—to feel more alive by being open to the life-giving pulse of Spirit. If you feel stuck, ask yourself if your lower will is still out of alignment with your higher will.

Questions to ask now: Am I willing to change those things that will truly change my life? Or do I back away from them, fearful that I will lose what is familiar? What would be the first thing I would change in my life that would make it better if I could?

What to watch out for during this time: Being erratic and making changes without any forethought. Seeking freedom and independence in impulsive ways. Resisting new ideas and information.

To attune to the higher frequencies of this Uranus influence, find ways to be yourself, to be authentic to who you are, be willing to be different, to step away from the crowd or the norm. The pulse of the Divine aspect of self is strong and it has a unique signature that is yours alone.

4. Neptune enters Pisces ~
The Pull Towards The Divine & The Life We have Chosen

Neptune enters Pisces for the first time in 140 years on April 4th and is a major part of the New Cycle we are entering. It is the beckoning of the Divine and draws us towards our higher self. Our devotional natures increase under its influence as we yearn for our God-connection to become stronger and more real.

The heart opens to unconditionally loving ~ ourselves, others and the life we have chosen. The sense of separation between ourselves and God and ourselves and others dissolves.

It is the missing piece to the puzzle and where our willingness to surrender to our own life agenda, set forth before we were born (and indicated in your natal chart) can now exist and come into being with less resistance and greater ease.

This is a long-term aspect, one that will be influencing us until 2025. It hasn’t been in Pisces in over 140 years).

As we enter the new cycle it is critical that we find ways to get in sync with the energies, as this is where we will find our strength and courage on an ongoing basis. I encourage you to check out the Astro Currents Monthly page to learn more.

Wild Energies Afoot

It will be a thrilling & wild few days.

Mars squaring Uranus now is generating chaotic energy. This, with the Uranus station also happening now, act like waves or pulsations from a higher realm and means change, shifts & openings are afoot. It’s designed to upset the apple cart, forcing us to see things differently. You can pretty much expect it to be challenging to stay focused & grounded for a few days.

We are also in the Balsamic Moon phase, the time of the Lunation cycle just prior to the New Moon, which is on Monday. This is the time of month to retreat, go within & listen attentively. Messages, inspiration & guidance is found in the silence. This is where your Light is to be found.

The two energies present now may seem opposite. Mars and Uranus are very dynamic and active, seeking outward activity and expression. The Balsamic Moon until Monday asks us to stop, to meditate and seek stillness. The KEY is to find the center of the storm by listening carefully. Doing this often during the day will let the dynamic energies find their right expression in your life, but in a way that is exciting and life-affirming.

By Monday or Tuesday, you may well have the clarity you have been seeking of late. Remember to ask for insight and Light. It is all around now.

Get Your Ticket To The Stars

It is a strange, almost surreal time, don’t you think?

Sometimes an aspect that doesn’t seem like it will be all that strong surprises us (me) and turns out to be quite potent indeed. We’re under such an influence now.

I’m referring to Venus at late Libra quincunx Jupiter conjunct Uranus at late Pisces. Just the words sound strange, don’t you think? (This will be hanging around through about the last weekend of November.) While these energies can be very positive at times, they can also be confusing and overwhelming.

Here’s some of what you may be feeling or experiencing. See if you can relate:

Overwhelm. Just too much to do or to even think about!
Yes indeed. This aspect can send the arrow to tilt easily. Can feel like Micky in the Sorcerer’s Apprentice (from the Disney movie, Fantasia).
Feeling uninspired, tired or lacking in imagination, especially just when you really need it!
Or you may be just the opposite and be feeling so inspired that ideas are coming in from every direction and you can’t keep up! So you just ignore it all.
Feeling unmotivated and out of focus.
Feeling spacey? Tired? Want to sleep more than usual? Or are your sleep patterns felt kind of strange? Had a few vivid and weird dreams?
Chaos seems to be ruling the day! Things fall out of order when you’re not even looking. Again, the image of Micky trying to get control of the mess in the Sorcerer’s Apprentice comes up for me.
Worried about finances? I’m hearing it on many fronts and seems to be up more than ever these days. It’s as though in the battle of Expenses vs. Income, the former has won.

There are two underlining energies here. One is excess to one extreme or another. There seems to be too much of whatever is going on. Too much to do. Not enough inspiration. Too many ideas. Not enough time. Too many bills. Not enough money.

The other is along the lines of “Whoa, I didn’t see that one coming!”. Meaning something is upon us before we even knew it was coming. (Quincunxes bring forward what was lurking in our blind spots).

Here are my suggestions:

One: Do not take on ONE more thing right now unless it is critical that you do.
Two: Diligently practice doing one step at a time. Put something in front of you, and only one something, and do it, otherwise you will get scattered and tangent and do nothing at the end of the day. I know this is one well. . . and under the current influences it is especially important.
Three: Say this as often as necessary: I Have Enough. I Do Enough. I Am Enough.
And finally, remember this, too, shall pass. We only have a few more weeks of this.

I just can’t end this without offering a thought or two on what might be the higher expression of this energy. Here goes:

I think this energy is here to open us, maybe even force us, to see new possibilities. Things you may have never considered. Some may be uncomfortable. Some may be bizarre. Or maybe they just feel impossible to you now. I say, just write it down. Capture it before it goes away. Think if of as writing down a dream while it still feels real.

As I said, it is a strange, almost surreal time. Yet to see new, I mean truly new, options and possibilities for our life, things have to get stirred up and seem unsolvable at times.

Remember what Mr. Einstein said? “You can’t solve a problem at the same level it was created.”

Reach higher for the solution. And do not rule out anything that comes in now. Just write it down so you can consider it later.

The Veils are Thin—a la Jupiter conjunct Uranus

There is something quite amazing happening: the veils between our physical, emotional and mental worlds and the higher planes are thin now.

Jupiter is conjunct Uranus at 28 degrees of Pisces. This is occurring in the skies right now, this week, and the influence will be felt for the next few weeks. This event will not happen again, exactly like this, in the sign of Pisces, for centuries.

The chances of this happening at the same time are well, astronomical. When I see this type of events, those that are so rare, I know they are by Cosmic design. And having awareness of them, to be able to attune to them consciously, is a gift. And will help each of you to access the gifts more easily, and willingly.

One more thing before I go into the impact of this amazing influence. This is the second of 3 conjunctions of Jupiter and Uranus. The first was on June 8th of this year and occurred at the first degree of Aries. And the last one will be on January 4th, 2011 also in late Pisces. Then it won’t happen again for a long time.

So what can you expect? Let’s look at each aspect of this first.

Jupiter, the great benefactor, opens us to higher understandings and knowledge. It helps us to see how the information we take in, through learning processes, becomes knowing and wisdom. This process impacts our attitudes and beliefs as we assimilate the information.

Uranus, called the great awakener, can open the channels to your higher mind, to higher levels of awareness. This is where your own direct knowing resides, if you will. It’s influence, when strong as it is now, can and will upset the apple cart . . . the status quo. Truth in this form has a way of doing this. So don’t be surprised to see things change around you . . . and perhaps quickly and in unexpected fashion.

And lastly, where this event is occurring in the skies makes it all the more amazing, as it is happening in the final degrees of Pisces. Let me explain . . . this is the end of the Zodiac, in a way, and can be like a portal to other dimensions. It is through these portals that you can also access past lives, your Soul Essence, inner guidance and more.

And it is THIS place that is being opened and activated. And everyone has it some place in their chart.

Here are some things you might experience:

You may notice certain abilities or talents you have that you hadn’t paid much attention to before. Could these be from another life to help you now? Yes…
You could be having experiences where you sense or feel your own true essence. These influences are expansive in nature.
Are you feeling spacey or ungrounded? Seeing things out of the corner of you eyes? Feeling that you are not along? Perhaps your own higher self is near by. Or your Guides or Angels.
With this gateway now open, you may be able to see or get a glimpse of what you know, of who you are. NOW you can sense and experience this more clearly.

Here are some things you may be feeling:

1-Tired, spacey, confused or just off and ungrounded. These are potent energies! And the lower parts of us often REEL when these energies enter our realms. What you usually count on may not be feeling so reliable.

Be gentle with yourself. And with others.
Do your grounding things—walk, yoga, eat well, rest when you need to.
Allow not knowing. Suspend judgment. Rest as needed.

2-Information could be coming in at a rapid rate, and you may be overwhelmed with it all. Or perhaps in unusual ways.

Write stuff down!
Don’t worry about it all making sense now.
It most likely won’t! You can sort it out later.
It is very important to pay attention to the subtle, or maybe not so subtle, messages you are getting now.
Watch your dreams, the words to a song you hear, a book that falls off your shelf or in a variety of other ways. The Universe is trying to get through!!

3-You are releasing something that has been a gift to you in past., and it may now be time to let it go.

Sometimes we just need to let go.
To trust and have faith that it is okay to do so.
Now is one of those times.

Some other things to keep in mind:

These energies are opening up the space where our reality is actually created, so for one, be careful what you think and what you are putting out there now. Hold the highest vibration possible. Think of it as the next steps or phases of your life is being created in a most mystical fashion. (A really good thing to say, as often as needed is this: Thy will be done.)
Notice what is happening in your life right now that is serendipitous, or coming from out of nowhere. Miracles and wonderful openings are very likely to be happening now.
Pay extra attention to your hunches and intuition. Messages about your path and life direction could be coming out of nowhere. Remember, the veils are thin and so more can get through. But we must be attentive to what is ethereal and subtle.

Where might all this be leading?

These are very initiatory energies. Higher levels of YOU are coming into your being.
This influence is wanting to reveal something to you . . . and the way to “get it” is to be willing and open and to say “YES” . Yes to knowing and seeing. Just let it into your consciousness . . . you can decide what to do with “it” later!
Really getting how trusting your life to God, to your own Soul, to the creative and benevolent energies of the Universe is the only thing you really want to do and is actually what you signed up for.
We are all being lead and guided to where we are meant to be. To our Souls’ intention for this lifetime. The energies to support this are accelerating.
And, you did consent to this. And you do have the tools and capacity and deep desire and all that you need to take the next steps in your life.

One last thing. As I mentioned, the final conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus will be occurring in early January. So it may around then that all that is happening now, and started in May or June, will come to fruition then and make more sense to you.

Trust. Have Faith. Surrender.

Uranus Re-enters Pisces~With Gifts in Hand?

Uranus has just re-entered Pisces until 3/11/11. As I was considering what this final passage of Uranus in Pisces may bring (once it leaves in March, ’11, it won’ t return until 2087!), an interesting thought came to me: could Uranus here for the next few months, at these last degrees of Pisces, open portals to other times, realms or dimensions? Could this perhaps bring to us gifts that were developed in a past life? Could some treasure that is ours, but lay hidden or dormant, come forward during this time? What could this even mean? Stay with me here…

We all learn various things in each lifetime. (As I understand it, that is the point.) We learn qualities, usually through lessons, that our Soul sets up for us, in each incarnation, at least that is the intention. As we do, we grow and evolve. How all this occurs is a mystery, yet it is true that we are all much more than we know…or remember. We each have abilities and gifts, and amazing qualities as well, that we don’t access.

While we do not necessarily have these readily available in this life, they are still deep within us, and I feel that there are times we can access those qualities. Or, they may suddenly appear at just the right time, even surprising ourselves!

Astrologically, this would be one of those times.

A portal may open during this time, just enough so that some aspect(s) of your true self can enter into your consciousness and thus, into your life. A trigger could be anything…a dream, a song, a photo, an unexpected experience…and may come out of the clear blue.

Another way of thinking of this is that perhaps our deepest memories are more available to us now, as Uranus can spark things at this level and with profound results. Remember, Uranus is called The Great Awakener. And one of the things it can awaken within you is some aspect of your own natural gifts and abilities.

It may be that this ability has been laying dormant, waiting to come to the surface at just the right time. Or it may be that while you have been aware of a talent, you haven’t really used it much. An example might be that even though you are good at public speaking, you’ve never really done much of it. And now, during this time, you will be called upon to do just this, and find you do it well!

Or perhaps you have always wanted to do something professionally but the pieces just hadn’t fallen into place. You may even have felt you have a purpose or a calling, but again, the timing to bring that forward just hasn’t happened…yet.

During the next few months, it may be just such a time. Look for opportunities that are unusual and not “the norm”. You may notice that some new aspect of your own “personality” is coming forth, such as a greater sense of peace or optimism or perhaps your desire to love unconditionally is growing. An idea to bring this forward is to consider what one or two qualities you have always wanted to possess. And then “act as if” you do have that quality already. It may show itself easier than you could have ever thought during this quite magical time.

Something alchemical could take place in your life that may be a result of just your reaching to claim it, that which is yours by Divine right.

We all have unlimited potential and unused talents. I feel that while the unlimited potential represents where we are heading, the unused talents may well be a result of what we have learned and where we have been on our journey before. What an amazing thought.

While Uranus is here, at this most spiritual and mystical few degrees of the Zodiac, look for your own potential and genius and offering. It will feel different, perhaps, but also natural. It will quicken your heart and excite your mind. And it may also terrify you. What wakes us up to a greater version of ourselves often does. But you have nothing to loose but whatever is holding you back from your life and becoming more of who you are.

There are gifts waiting you. These are things you have earned already…it is now about opening to them, and opening them, and then claiming what is yours.

The Summer of 2010~Making Some Sense of It All

In the four+ decades that I have been studying Astrology, there have only been a handful of times when the planets have aligned in as tight and intense of configuration as they are now. And as we enter the height of the potent celestial energies many have been talking and writing about, I wanted to step back a bit and look at two specific things:

One is to give a brief overview of the the astrological events that brought us to this time of powerful shifts and change.
And second, to address how these events are impacting some people in very intense and challenging ways. So if you are one of those, read on.

Many astrologers would agree that the current pattern of intensity began when Pluto entered Capricorn in January, 2008. As this began to be felt, it seemed to challenge the very ground we stood on. Things began to shift at such fundamental levels that many began thinking “will things ever be the same?”. Perhaps you were one of them?

Later in 2008, on November 4th (which just happened to be Election Day) the first of five Saturn-Uranus oppositions occurred. A rare event not to occur again for decade. Saturn and Uranus interacting in this way was sure to really shake up the status quo. There have been 3 since, with the final of the five occurring at the end of this month, on July 26th. (NOTE: I will be writing more on this final opposition in a few days). Clearly the Universe has been trying to get it through to us that things do not stay the same, and that in fact is in a constant state of flux.

In many ways, 2009 was a set-up for the rare and dynamic celestial events that would occur in 2010. As Pluto kept working away at the early degrees of Capricorn during 2009, the impact of this was felt in at least a few ways:

It was becoming clearer and clearer that issues at deeper levels were emerging. What had not been previously seen or even intentionally avoided, was now starting to surface. As a result, changes started to happen that impacted our basic sense of security and “ground of being”. What was once solid and reliable didn’t feel quite so much anymore.

As the year went on, these issues just kept being presented to our awareness in ways that were getting harder and harder to ignore. Whatever was “wrong” or unhealthy at the foundation of our life was becoming quite apparent, making it no longer possible to hide what had been hidden in the shadows.

This was happening both in our personal environments as well as the world at large. The decay, corruption, misuse of power and/or old destructive regimes were beginning to be seen more and more on the surface, as the “transparency” of corporations with hidden agendas, dogmatic-entrenched religions and out-of-touch governments became real.

The astrological events taking place this summer brings all this energy that has been building to a critical point on the path. The Lunar Eclipse of June 26th and the Solar Eclipse of July 11th were triggers. And there is more to come in the next few weeks, and in rapid succession. I will continue writing about the events still to come, but for now, I want to address the 2nd point of this article, which is the fact that this have been a very difficult time for some.

So, have things been rather intense for you?
Many are feeling the impact of these things at deep, personal levels which can be most upsetting and even traumatic. I have heard of long-term marriages falling apart, people losing jobs, health issues to be dealt with and many who are feeling off, depressed or panicky and anxious for no specific reasons.

Before I go further, a comment to those of you not feeling the turmoil or challenges that many are during this time.
If you aren’t really experiencing the intensity of these energies in ways that are difficult or uncomfortable, it may be that these events are just not hitting sensitive areas in your own chart, and thus not triggering you. It could also be that you have developed very effective coping skills over the years and that staying grounded, centered and calm during a storm is something you have learned how to do.

This said, please consider that someone around you may not be experiencing the intensity of these events with as much grace, and would really appreciate some assistance during this time. As the Great Ones said, we get by with a little help from our friends. Also keep in mind that if you are facing extremely challenging circumstances in your life, receiving help from professionals may be what is called for, and perhaps beyond the scope of the things mentioned here.

So here’s how I am seeing it: If this has been a particularly difficult time, it is very likely that Saturn is the planet you are feeling the most intensely. Yes there are other things going on, and if any of those are directly affecting your chart, you will surely be feeling them as well. Yet, Saturn is notorious for bringing us the tough lessons. I will add that if Saturn is impacting your chart, then Uranus is as well these days because of where they each are in the sky. And indeed, Uranus will bring the lessons of Saturn up in sometimes unexpected, disruptive and even shocking ways.

There are several reasons I say that Saturn may be the main culprit here, and to go too far into these are beyond the scope of this article, but let’s just say that between it’s station of earlier this year while squaring Pluto, the opposition with Uranus and now it being at the last degrees of Virgo, it appears to me as though it is running the show. We each have to come to terms with just what Saturn is about as it holds very important pieces to the whole puzzle. It is, after all, The Lord of Karma.

Saturn’s influence will be strongly felt until it reaches what is called its “shadow point”, which isn’t until the first week of September. So if you are noticing any of the things listed below, know that the lessons associated with them may not feel complete until early Fall. And if it is aspecting sensitive areas in your own chart, then this is especially true.

Saturn is the Great Teacher, and when it is pressing hard upon us, it essentially is wanting us to learn something. And that once we acknowledge this, and reflect on what it wants us to learn, it usually loosens it’s grip a bit, and a new pathway out of the dilemma is revealed.

But before that can happen, here are some ways you may be feeling Saturn, and the lessons it wants us to learn:

1. Since the end of last year (or even before), this has been a very confining time, which may have increased recently. It could seem as though there is just no way out of a difficult situation. Perhaps in some way the past has now caught up with the present and you cannot see how the future will be any different. You realize that your choices of the past are bearing fruit now, for better or worse. You feel stuck. This may be impacting your relationships, health, finances or overall attitude.

KEY: If the choices you made in the past created your life now in some way, then the choices you make now will create your future-right? Is it time to make different choices? Those more in line with your authentic self? No planetary influence can teach us the Power of Choice like Saturn~the Lord of Karma and the ruler of the Law of Cause and Effect.

2. You feel as though nothing you do produces the changes you intended. Everything is at a standstill, and it doesn’t feel good. You are running out of steam.

KEY: Yes, Saturn does want to teach us patience. And indeed, we all have had to learn a lot about this in the past several months, even couple years. A key to dealing with this is to consider the very real importance of timing. That things happen when they do…that just because WE want whatever-NOW, it may not really be the right time in the overall scheme of things for that to occur.

Further, Saturn’s lesson in this regard is not only of learning patience and timing, but also faith and stamina. Spend time reflecting on each of these qualities. Journal about how you feel about being patient, about having to wait, maybe even a long time, for something you really want. Then consider what it is to persevere, to stay with something long enough to give it a real chance to manifest in the physical realm. And indeed, developing a strong Faith is so very important.

Once Saturn changes signs and enters Libra on July 21st, energy that has been held back may well release, especially since it will be instantly impacted by Uranus, the Great Awakener, at zero degrees of Aries. I “predict” that much will be changing, and rapidly, in the weeks to come. But will it all be wine and roses? I doubt it. It could be that what it has been holding back will have its own challenges once released. Again, keep asking to learn the lessons as this is the best way I know to help mitigate the negative influences.

3. You just feel exhausted and depressed. Doors are closing, people may be leaving your life (for various reasons) and you feel like your life is passing you by. Saturn rules time and getting older and if you are feeling these things, then perhaps you are feeling grief or loss over what you will never be able to do. You may have regrets or guilt over what happened or sadness over what didn’t.

Reach up as far as you can and God will reach down the rest of the way.

KEY: I have a quote I love to remember when I feel like this: “The wheel of life turns and we must turn with it.” If we do not, we will miss what each stage of life has to offer. Saturn helps us to let go by making it clear when something is complete in our life, whether a relationship, a commitment or even a phase and this is integral to moving forward into our own future. I truly believe that our Soul has mapped out a “best case scenario” for each of the stages of our life.

Try asking your Soul: So what’s next? What do you have planned for us now? And most important, What can I do to facilitate this coming into being? And keep this in mind: there are many astrological events coming up that will bring in a new cycle. Nothing stays the same.

Uranus entered Aries for the first time in 84 years on May 27. This is a powerful and most significant event which will impact us personally and globally.
