Mars in Leo ~ Fire with Fire

Mars, the Catalyst of the Solar System, recently entered Leo, the most dramatic and expressive of signs, for 8 months. Since it is usually in one sign for about 10 weeks, this is a long time! The reason for the long stay in Leo is that it will be going retrograde in December. And so, we will be getting a good dose of Mars, a most fiery planet, in the first sign of Leo.

Fire with fire indeed.

So what can you expect from this double dose of fiery energy? Mars gets things going. It initiates and invites with great enthusiasm, that we get going in some area of our lives. It could be a project, a diet, a business, an exercise regime. It may be taking a class, creating your own website, painting a room red. You get the picture.

A good question to ask is this: what has been hanging around on my to-do list, needing, waiting for some enthusiasm…some spark to get it moving in forward motion? Chances are you will know instantly which one is on top of that list. That’s the one Mars most likely wants you to take action on first. And, Mars will be right there, egging you on to take those first steps. So, you provide the task, Mars provides the fuel.

Here are some things to consider:

• Be bold, assertive if you need to. Mars is great for supplying that kind of fuel. Count on it.
• Know that as you take action, you will be projecting some part of yourself out there. Perfect.
• Push through inertia. Through resistance. Through blocks. Through drama. Mars doesn’t want just any movement, it wants forward movement.
• Have some fun with it. Leo loves a good time. If you aren’t getting excited about this new venture, it isn’t the right one. Revisit that to-do list and see if something else stands out.

There will be more on the Mars influence in the weeks to come. For now, trust that just the act of starting will get the ball rolling. And Mars will help keep the ball rolling for some time. This is the ideal energy to make real progress towards something you really care about.

1. Identify the task, project or endeavor you are undertaking.
2. Take the first step(s).
3. Stay focused…at this point, the momentum of Mars will take over, so you want to make certain it is in the right direction.
